Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) is introduced by the UGC (University Grants Commission) one of the statutory organizations. It helps faculty to manage and check the credits earned by students. Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) is a virtual/digital store that keeps the information of the credits earned by student throughout their academic journey. It will enable students to open their accounts and give multiple options for entering and leaving Colleges / Universities. There will be multiple exits and multiple entries points during the higher education tenure and credits will be transferred through the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC). ABC can be considered as an authentic reference to check the credit history of a student at any given point in time. Thus the concept of ABC is fuel to boost the efficiency of faculty and help students embrace a multi-disciplinary educational approach. This is helpful to make students skillful professionals and help their overall growth. In this blog we are guiding step by step for Punjabi University Patiala students to create ABC ID and how to submit online on Punjabi University Patiala Website.
Search on Google - Digilocker - and click on 1st searched link
or visit official Digilocker website : https://www.digilocker.gov.in ↗
If you have not account on Digilocker - Click on Sign-up Button on the top-right, else go to Image-8
Write your correct credentials in form as Name, Date of Birth, select Gender, your Mobile Number, Email ID and set 6 digit security PIN.
After fill correct details click on Submit button.
Enter 6 digit OTP received on your mobile and click on 'Submit' button.
Write your Adhar number in column and click on 'Next'.
Enter OTP received on mobile number attached with your Adhar number.
After create account on Digilocker, search on Google for 'abc.gov.in' and click on first searched link
Click on 'My Account' and then 'Student'.
Write your mobile number and PIN, check the checkbox for consent and click on 'Sign-In' button.
Enter OTP received on your mobile and click on 'Sign-In' button.
Click on 'Allow' button.
In 1st column - select 'Punjabi University Patiala', In 2nd column - select 'Admission year' when you got admission in 1st semester (If you are in 1st semester then select current year), In 3rd column - select - 'Registration Number', In 4th column - Write you 'Registration Number' as shown on you Mark Sheet/Online Result and then click on 'Submit' button.
Congrats ! You have created your 'ABC ID' as shown in image above. Note down your 'ABC ID' or click the pic of this ID. Now you have to submit this 'ABC ID' on Punjabi University Website.
Search on Google - 'pupexamination.ac.in' and click on 1st searched link
or visit official website directly - https://pupexamination.ac.in ↗
Click on link - 'Student Login' as shown in image above.
Enter your Examination form Application number and Password and click on 'Login' button.
Click on button - 'Click Here to Update Your ABC ID' - as shown in image above .
Write your 12 digit 'ABC ID' in column without hyphen symbol (-) as shown in example under the column and click on 'Update' button.
You will see message: 'ABC ID Updated Successfully' - Congrats !.
To check you updated ABC ID on Punjabi University Portal - Login in 'Student Login' and click on 'Print Complete' button.
You will see your Examination Form, scroll down this form and you will see column of 'ABC ID' as shown in image above, you have successfully updated your 'ABC ID'.
As per letter issued on dated 27.12.2023 by Controller Examination Punjabi University Patiala ↗ all regular student studying in University Departments, Neighbourhood Campuses, Regional Centers, Constituent Colleges students mandatory to create 'ABC ID' and update on Punjabi University Portal before the due date.
Application Number and Password to update 'ABC ID' on Student Login Portal is that of your Online Examination form (Regular form)
To get Application Number and Password to update 'ABC ID' on 'Student Login Portal' you can contact your Department/College.
When creating 'ABC ID' in column 'Admission Year' your have to select the year when you got admission in 1st semester in your current course.
You can update your wrong filled details by login on Digilocker official Website https://www.digilocker.gov.in ↗
